a note from zahrah
The world is such an incredible and beautiful place; what is "known" can be as intriguing as the "unknown." When I started Days With Zahrah, my goal was to take viewers on an unforgettable journey--one that showcased the fact that no matter where we go in the world or what cultural differences we may have, as people, we all want the same things: good health, happiness, peace of mind, food on the table and unlimited time with the people we love.
We started Days With Zahrah so that we could connect with people and hence connect our viewers to each and every unique and intriguing story we told. So whether we are chatting with Dr. Maya Angelou, Jane Goodall, a farmer in wine country or a champion boxing coach like Eddie Croft, we aim to inspire viewers to live their best lives and challenge themselves to experience their greatness in every moment. Every day I am thrilled because I get to connect with a great person who has a story to tell. And we all have a story to tell.
I am mother to a three-and-a-half-year-old sweet boy who teaches me more about life than anything else I have experienced. He has taught me the importance of living in the moment and not taking anything for granted. When I look into his eyes, I think about how blessed I am to produce Days With Zahrah. I am living my dream, and I am grateful beyond words. My son |
has helped me evolve into a better person, a better host and a better producer simply by giving me incredible life experiences! He taught me how important it is for parents to go out on date night! I can tell you my favorite baby products that made my life easier. Want to know some of the best places to breast feed in the Bay Area? Got that too. And my appreciation for sleep has completely changed!
Over the years I have worked for some cool television stations including CNN and BET. When I was brought on to develop the wedding programming for a unique tv start-up company, it exposed me to the wedding industry. Then after planning my own wedding in 2008, I loved the industry so much that I hoped I would get the opportunity to do more wedding programming. So in 2010 we threw our first "How To Throw A Party" episode. Then our 2011 episode garnered so many viewers that we felt it was perfect timing to launch weekly segments on everything wedding. So, while traveling, we now take you to the hottest destinations where you can tie the knot and begin your journey with the
love of your life.
